Here we are all packed up and ready to head out in the morning to Fort Frederick Market Fair. This is a really different event because it is not a reenactment like you usually go to. This thing is all about shopping and it truly is the place to go for anyone that does any era of living history. We tell everyone if you haven't been to Fort Fred you have to go, then they go and they get hooked and wanna come back every year. When we get to Fort Fred we see merchants that we never see anywhere else because a lot of them only setup there. I really can't hype this event enough for people who haven't been there other than saying if you haven't been this is a bucket list event, go and check it out. https://friendsoffortfrederick.info/market_fair.htm
We are full blast right in the middle of prom season around here. Beth is jammed up with dresses hanging everywhere. Beth actually really does love doing alterations she just gets a little overwhelmed at times, but she can handle it. Beth keeps telling me I need to learn to sew so I can help her.......REALLY? Who would want ME taking apart and putting back together their little girls prom dress? I know it would help but, know your skill set, I drive the truck, put up the tent, and make sure the tent stays up. Whenever needed I can ohhhh and awwww appropriately. I can help pick colors and cut fabric, I actually know wayyyy more about corsetry than a man my age should know. But I am not a sewer and never will be. Beth is the talent and I am the pretty face.
Thanks for stopping by,
