As you all know we go around from event to event and setup a tent to sell to reenactors, the events run all through the year, and yes, even in the summer. Putting up the tent when it is Africa hot is not fun at all, it always takes longer and is more frustrating than you can imagine. We try whenever possible to start setting up as early in the morning as possible so we can to try and get the most done before it gets too hot. And yes, when it is hot "marital moments" do seem to happen more often. We deal with it the best we can and try to drink lots of fluids and not kill each other. During the events you just deal with it the best you can, but it's just hot and everyone is hot even the spectators that ask "are you hot in those clothes?", yes, and I am sure you are hot in in your shorts and t-shirt too. At the end of a hot day we sometimes get in the truck and go find ice cream and air conditioning just so we can have a break out of the heat, and ice cream is always good. This is the odd part, when we break down to leave, sometimes it is the hottest day of the event, but we really don't mind because we are leaving to go get in air conditioning and going home. We seem to not mind the sweat running down crevices we shouldn't talk about, we are going home. Beth likes when we go home, she can love on our puppies and put her feet up, and in case you didn't know, it's air conditioned too.
Thanks for stopping by.
