A lot of our friends and family really don't understand what we do when we go to events. I think they either picture a carnival atmosphere or like an indoor craft fair, I dunno. They just look at us weird and nod, so I will try to explain what we do when we go to an event. First thing we do is pack the truck and trailer with all the fabric, notions, and patterns and such for the event (these are the things we sell to pay the bills). Usually this is Beth's favorite thing to do, because somehow it is either raining, freezing cold,or typical South Carolina HOT, this always makes packing an experience and even allows for those special "marital moments". Once everything is packed then we do like Santa and make sure we have everything and once we are some what satisfied that we do Beth starts worrying what we might have forgotten. Anyone of you that knows Beth understands this is just a way of life, she can't help it. After I assure her several times that we have everything and whatever might not have been forgotten we can get at Walmart, we are ready to go. Down the highway we go, our goal is to get all the way there with a uneventful trip (which means no surprise maintenance on truck or trailer). Usually we stage at a hotel the night before setup and get that "last good shower" before we get hot and sweaty setting up. In the next blog I will discuss how we go about setting up on site, thanks for stopping by.
